"Write Failed" error when trying to optimize images on a macOS

"Write Failed" error can happen sometimes when using external drives on the latest macOS versions (starting from macOS Catalina) - perhaps due to the tightened security introduced by Apple, but there's a simple workaround.

Try this:
Eject the external drive, unplug it and then plug it back in. It should start working then.

If this does not work, try to move the files to your internal hard disk and set the export destination to the same drive.
